As we start to welcome family and friends back into our homes, here at SZY we are thrilled to be back on site in our clients' homes, and working together to giving their entrances a post-lockdown make-over.

Whilst your entrance needs to be welcoming, it also has to work on a practical level. Here are my top tips when designing your entrance space: 

1. Maximise your lighting.
Natural light helps to make any space feel light, open and welcoming. Use mirrors as a way to help reflect light around the space rather than installing artificial lighting.

2. Create a focal point.
Opting for a statement piece of furniture, art or a mirror helps draw the eye in to your home. Don’t be afraid of going quite bold or big – it will actually help the space to look bigger!

3. Practical storage.
This will help reduce the amount of ‘stuff’ that can accumulate, keeping your entrance free from clutter and keep it looking clean and inviting. Think post, footwear, coats – we have fabulous solutions for you.
